The development team at EA Sports is continuing to deliver more information about NBA Live 15, and this time gamers can take a look at the best rated rookies included in the basketball simulation, around which they can build a team that can challenge for trophies in the near future.

According to the official site of the title, the best young player is Jabari Parker from the Milwaukee Bucks, rated at 82 overall, and the developers state, “The second overall pick is perceived to be more NBA ready thanks to his scoring touch away from the basket, as well as his athleticism. Look for Parker to make an immediate impact playing just two hours from his hometown.”

Fan favorite Andrew Wiggins from the Minnesota Timberwolves is second best at 80 overall, and the studio claims that he will be a very capable defensive player right away while he continues to develop his offensive capabilities.

The last position on the podium belongs to Joel Embiid, a 79-rated player from the Philadelphia 76ers, about which EA Sports states, “The Sixers make their first appearance in our NBA Live 15 ratings reveals. Embiid has already drawn comparison to legendary big men of years past, but he'll need some time to get acclimated as he recovers from injury.”

The other 2 well-rated rookie players in the simulation are Dante Exum from the Utah Jazz, with 78 overall, and Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics, who is at 76.

NBA Live 15 and the quest for quality

NBA Live 15 is a video game that will face an uphill battle to generate sales and solid review scores because it needs to erase the memories of the last few installments in the series, one of which was completely canceled because of quality concerns just after a demo was launched and was criticized by the potential player base.

The title is designed to use the Ignite engine and the power of current-gen consoles in order to deliver both realistic graphics and gameplay mechanics that are easy to understand and to use.

NBA Live 15 will be offered in late October and there are no plans to bring it to other devices.

The basketball sim from EA Sports will have to deal with competition from NBA 2K15, which is out this week and aims to build on the solid sales that the franchise generated in 2013 and 2012.
