2K Games released a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing the MyPark online multiplayer mode in NBA 2K15, and offering more details on how things will go down in the upcoming basketball video game.

NBA 2K15 is a basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts, 2K Games' sports team, that also co-developed WWE 2K15 in tandem with Yuke. In addition to offering fans of the sport an immersive and challenging experience, the upcoming game will also treat their ears with a star-studded soundtrack curated by famous producer Pharell Williams.

The video game comes with a bunch of additions and upgrades from last year's installment in the series, in the form of new parks, new affiliations, competitions, reputation system, squads, as well as integration with the MyNBA 2K15 companion app, available on mobile platforms.

The overhauled MyPark mode features more content than ever

Players will be able to pledge their loyalty to one of three different affiliations: The Old Town Flyers, the Sunset Beach Ballers, and the Rivet City Rough Riders, each one coming with its own eight-court home park and a unique approach to the game, which translates into slight boosts to various areas of the game.

After you select a park, you can begin earning reputation with MyPark rep, a feature that takes into account wins, as well as your teammate grade, and factors in the opponents you're up against. Raising your rep will unlock various specific upgrades that enhance your MyPark experience.

The MyPark Championship will kick off on October 11, lasting through the weekend preceding the NBA All-Star game, pitting the three different affiliations against each other in weekly competition rounds, with the winning faction to receive a brand new home park as reward.

You can form a squad with anyone that is currently in your park by simply browsing the list of players and sending them an invite. You can use any designated squad area located on each court, and then you'll be able to step onto the court together as a squad.

Furthermore, the Jordan Rec Center will be available for players who want to play NBA rules basketball while still earning MyPark rep and MyPark Championship points, with four full-sized courts and five-minute quarters of 5v5 action.

NBA 2K15 is scheduled to come out on October 7 worldwide, headed to Windows PC, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 entertainment systems from Sony, and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One home consoles from Microsoft.
