When it comes to the ratings of the simulated players, EA Sports delivered more information about the NBA Live 15 than Visual Concepts has been offering for NBA 2K15, but the team has finally revealed the top ten rated superstars that gamers will be able to control in the coming basketball sim.

The big surprise of the official reveal is that LeBron James from the Cleveland Cavaliers is at the moment a better player than Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the difference between the two is quite solid, 98 to 95.

LeBron was on the cover of the series last year.

The rest of the top ten includes a number of other very capable performers who can all drive a solid team towards victory:

Chris Paul – Los Angeles Clippers at 93 Tim Duncan – San Antonion Super at 90 Carmelo Anthony – New York Knicks at 89 Kobe Bryant – Los Angeles Lakers at 89 Kevin Love – Cleveland Cavaliers also at 89 Paul George – Indiana Pacers at 90 Blake Griffin – Los Angeles Clippers at 89 Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors at 89

The team working on NBA 2K15 asked fans to like a page in order to reveal the ratings, which is a bit weird given how important they can be to the community when they decide which team to control once the title is launched.

The company has not said how it has created the evaluation for each of the simulated players.

NBA 2K15 has a top spot to defend

NBA 2K15 will be out on October 7 and can be played on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC.

The series has been the leader of the basketball simulation genre for the past few years, as the rival NBA Live from EA Sports has suffered from some big quality issues.

2K Games says that this year’s version will be more realistic than ever and will allow gamers to execute some impressive moves.

But the lack of competition can sometimes lead to stagnation and the fan community has already been a little critical of the gameplay that the studio has shown in livestreams.

Meanwhile, EA Sports has been talking up its new title, assuring the community that it has focused on making sure that quality is high and explaining that the focus on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 will allow for a big upgrade in terms of both gameplay and visual quality.
