Video game publisher 2K Sports has announced that it is launching a new Dynasty Edition for its upcoming basketball simulation NBA 2K13, which will be offered on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony for the price of 99 dollars or Euro.

The company says that it will produce only a limited number of Dynasty Edition packages and it encourages those who want one to place a pre-order so that they can be sure to get it.

The special package will include a copy of NBA 2K13, the new downloadable content from Sprite called NBA 2K13 All-Star, a full-sized basketball from Spalding and Art of Basketball with a logo of the game, Ink’d earbuds from Skullcandy exclusively produced for 2K Sports and a textured controller skin from Skinit.

When the new edition of the game was announced, Jason Argent, the vice president of marketing at 2K Sports, has stated that “With this special edition package, we want to give something meaningful to our great fans. This is an awesome deal that is sure to please fans, and will become a must-have item while supplies last.”

The development team working on NBA 2K13 has promised that an all-new physics system and better gameplay mechanics will bring the virtual game closer to what happens on real-world professional courts while a general graphics upgrade will allow players to better understand the action and the consequences of their actions.

NBA 2K13 is being developed by Visual Concepts and will be offered on home consoles on October 2 in North America and three days later in Europe.

Last year the NBA game from 2K Sports has managed to sell more than 5 million units all over the world, but this year the title will face competition from NBA Live 13, which EA Sports is re-introducing after a one-year break.
