One of the latest mobile applications to become available for download on handsets running under Microsoft's Windows Phone

operating system is NAVIGON traffic4all, which is meant to provide users with info on current traffic.

The mobile application has been designed to provide users with details on current traffic congestions, as well as on any likely accidents, and more.

“With NAVIGON traffic4all you will be able to view all the current traffic congestion on the map at a glance and can zoom in for a detailed view of your region,” the application's description reads.

“You can also use the Forecast function for better and more personalised journey planning. That way you’ll know precisely which routes to avoid and when.”

The new mobile application also offers users the possibility to report congestion and other problems they might meet along the road, so that other drivers will know about them and will be able to avoid them.

The active participation within the traffic community will enable the software to offer info on traffic disturbances on roads that are not covered otherwise.

Traffic reports in the selected area are easily reported this way, and other users stay on top of what's happening ahead. Both the cause and location of the event are shown on the map.

Some of the main features that the new application arrived on Windows Phone devices with include: - List view, arranged by distance to traffic congestion, plus display of report date and reliability - Traffic density forecasts based on data records - Community reports - One-click function to reveal or hide disturbances shown on the map - Map zoom option - Full-screen mode - Map view in portrait and landscape format - “Current traffic density” – icon to report incorrect route colouring - Advertising-free version available to purchase - Languages: German, English, French, Dutch - Coverage: most of Europe + USA + Canada.

The new mobile application for Windows Phone is available for purchase via the Windows Phone Marketplace here. It sports a price tag of $1.49 (around 1.10 Euros), but a free trial is also available.
