Many people from all over the world feared that it would all end yesterday, on December 12, 2012 (or 12/12/12, if you prefer). Others are still not over that fear, because they think December 21 is the correct expiration date.

NASA isn’t worried, though, as the leaked video below will prove.

Called “The World Didn’t End Yesterday,” it looks like it was meant to premiere on December 22, one day after the supposed Mayan apocalypse.

In a little over 4 minutes, it explains how the whole apocalypse thing was a misunderstanding from the start, in the hope that this might serve to put all those people freaking out about it at ease.

One YouTube commenter jokes that the video should have been called “Told You So! Love, NASA.”

NASA is confident the apocalypse won’t be in 2012, but it’s also very serious in its efforts at preventing panic from spreading.

“The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012,” NASA says on the official page, in a section dedicated to debunking the apocalypse myth.
