The popular show is halted pending the conclusions of an investigation

The popular show MythBusters has been temporarily put on hold, after one of their experiments went haywire, and damaged a Dublin, Ireland neighborhood. The myth in question involved firing a cannon with ammo other than a cannonball.

The test firings were done in a safe, enclosed location, but one of the projectiles somehow missed its target, punched through a concrete wall, flew over a hill at bullet speed, and then made its way into a peaceful, residential neighborhood.

It first passed through a house's bedroom wall, making a clean exit on the other side before ricocheting off a 4-lane street and hitting the roof of another house. Eventually, the 10-inch cannonball made its way into a van, via a shattered window.

As authorities are investigating the issue, the show is temporarily suspended. It will resume airing once the police inquiry is complete.
