Unsolicited messages invaded my inbox

Gmail is one of the top mail technologies on the Internet, having millions of registered users in every corner of the world. The Google mail product became famous because it offers a mix of huge storage size and powerful spam filters that are blocking most of the unsolicited messages arriving into your inbox. But sometimes, Gmail doesn't seem to be that extremely efficient service when it comes to spam and today is just one of the examples. In the recent period, my inbox was attacked by a lot of unwanted messages and every time, I used the 'Report Spam' button to get rid of them. However, they are continuously coming and as far I can see, there's no chance to stop them.

Most of the messages sustain that I won a $7,500 prize that can be received by registering for a service. Under the 'This card could be yours', the message sent by 'Platinum Plus Promotion' is actually a single message with a pre-shipping report that informs 'me' about the exciting prize that I won. Obviously, it is only a fake campain but come on, they are extremely annoying. Imagine that between tons of messages like news and other emails from my contacts, I also receive this kind of mails that have nothing to do with me.

I have just noticed that the message also provides an unsubscribe link which should be used to remove my email from their newsletter. However, because it requires me to enter the exact email address, it will probably register my account for future spam campaigns so there's no chance to get my email in there.

At this time, the only thing I can do is to use the "Report Spam' button (again!) and to hope that they will not come back. Some time ago, Gmail was also affected by a spam campaign but the main difference is that these unwanted messages come from a different email address than a Google account.
