In what has to be one of the best pranks and also best ways of promoting your music, electronic musician Paz made the official announcement that he hid 5,000 of his CDs in Justin Bieber album cases.

Billboard reports that the musical producer swapped copies of Bieber's “Believe” for his own record “From The Bottom Of My Heart To The Top Of Your Lungs,” as part of an April Fools prank.

After doing the deed, Paz boasted on his Facebook page, “Good morning Los Angeles. By the time you read this, every Justin Bieber CD at every store in the city has been replaced with one of these. No joke.” Below the posting, there were several photos detailing the switch.

The artist also cautioned that these fake albums were not easy to spot, since they had been forged with great care and skill, “We were meticulous. We paid a lot of attention to details because we wanted these to stay up on the shelves as long as possible.”

Reports indicate that there were indeed copies of the switched albums found in music stores and that those copies bore the resemblance of Justin's “Believe” on the outside, right down to the bar code and the original cover artwork featuring the Canadian crooner.

In ending, Paz justified his actions by saying, “The world won't really miss a Justin Bieber record.”
