Mushkin, best known for producing computer memory modules, has just announced the availability of new SDHC and microSD cards for mobile devices.

The U.S.-based company is also known for the quality of its memory products that are available in several performance categories from standard to extreme.

According to Mushkin, its first soon-to-be-available Class 10 SDHC cards are in line with the standard specification enforced by the SD Association and guarantee a minimum data transfer rate of 10MB per second and make a viable solution for HD camcorders and cameras.

Furthermore, the manufacturer's Class 4 microSDHC product guarantees a minimum data transfer of 4MB per second and are recommended for mobile phones and tablets.

We have very carefully prepared and tested our SDHC and microSD product offerings to ensure that they deliver the superior level of quality for which Mushkin products are known,” said Wade Shiflett, director of marketing, Mushkin, Inc.

Both SDHC and microSDHC cards have a 3-year warranty and will be available on the market in coming weeks.

The SDHC Class 10 card measures 24 x 32 x 2.1mm and weighs 2.9g. The product features write-protect switch that protects data from being overwritten.

Users will be able to choose one of the three available models, according to the amount of storage they need 8GB, 16GB or 32GB.

The microSDHC Class 4 card measures 11 x 15 x 1mm and will come out in four different models: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB.

No information about the price of the products has been disclosed yet.
