Ted Dwane, bassist for Mumford & Sons has been rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after tests revealed that he had a blood clot on his brain. Three of the upcoming tour dates have already been postponed.

The news comes on the band’s official website but, if only for the fact that it mentions that no other appearances will be canceled or postponed, fans should not worry about Ted’s health because he is expected to make a speedy recovery.

“Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation,” the statement says.

“Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery,” it adds.

The canceled dates are in Dallas, Woodlands, and New Orleans. They will be rescheduled as soon as possible, the bandmembers promise.
