BurnAgain DVD has been born

Despite the fact that most people are able to burn optical discs easily these days, there will always be a problem when writing CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray or other similar discs. First, there was the buffer underrun problem, then it came the unreliable burning when writing discs at high speeds problem, and during all this time, the overburning process was always something that "is possible, but which you shouldn't try unless you really know what you're doing".

Today, I found a burning software able to help you burn media without worries about duplicate files and erasing the rewritable discs that you use. According to Freeridecoding, its producer, BurnAgain DVD 1.0, the program I am talking about, can add files to CDR, CDRW and DVD+RW several times into the same volume, without erasing it. This is accomplished by automatically comparing the items you want to write with those already burnt, and only new or changed files are added, overwriting the previous versions when needed.

With this unique Mac-like burning tool, you can even change your discs' titles at each burn, as well as hide previously written files and make the disk look like an empty one, but without erasing it! BurnAgain DVD is able to resolve aliases and offers support for using Burnable Folders in Mac OS X "Tiger".

All the above make BurnAgain DVD a handy backup tool that is able to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, and includes detailed documentation for beginners. The program requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to run and, of course, a CD or DVD writing unit. Student licenses are available for 15$, BurnAgain 2.x users are able to upgrade for 9.50$, and a single license is available for 24.50$. At last, if you want to buy a "Family Pack" license, you can get it for 48.50$.
