Beside the Predator G3600 desktop PC we've already talked about, Acer also unveiled at CeBIT 2011 another system from the same series that, however, targets mostly multimedia fans, namely the Predator G3100.

Without a doubt, the G3100 has quit a lot of design-related features in common with the G3600, featuring the same black case with special color inserts and a top side providing fast and easy access to USB and audio connectors.

And naturally, the same goes for the Easy-Swap Hard Drive Bay, a storage solution that's also made its way into the G3100 as well.

While the two systems are more or less identical in terms of design, things tend to be slightly different as far as the interior components are concerned, given the fact that the G3100 is built around AMD 8-Series chipsets and multi-core CPUs from AMD (up to six-core processor versions are available), users being able to opt for the specific processor that best fits their needs.

Unfortunately, Acer doesn't provide any specific details regarding the graphics solutions powering the G3100 Predator system, simply mentioning that we're talking about high-end ATI Radeon graphics, presumably pertaining to the HD 6900 series.

In terms of storage and available RAM memory, the G3100 is quite similar to the G6100, given the fact that it also supports up to 3 HDDs providing up to 2TB of storage each, as well as up to 16GB of DDR3 memory.

The same goes for the available connectivity and networking options, but it's interesting to note that the G3100 can also be equipped with a digital TV tuner and Blu-ray player, turning into a high-end multimedia machine.

Naturally, we're yet to find any details regarding the pricing and availability of the G3100 system from Acer, but we certainly hope that the company will provide us with more details on these topics in the near future.
