A resident offers a view of the area on the east side of the mountain

Residents have captured a short video of what the wildfire at Mount Diablo State Park looks like in the area. The clip attached above this news blog reveals the view from the eastern side of the Mt. Diablo.

It has been captured in Blackhawk, San Ramon on Sunday, September 8. You can observe the smoke spreading over a 400-acre (161-hectar) radius.

As I also reported, 250 firefighters from the Bay Area were brought in to clear the blaze, but as of yesterday only 10 percent of the fire was contained.

Owners of more than 50 homes in the small town of Clayton have been asked to evacuate. About 75 structures, power lines and cell phone towers could be burnt down.
