The Sleepy Skunk’s amazing new video perfectly sums up a year in cinema

I love December for a variety of reasons and one of them is something I’m sure all movie buffs can relate to: lists, charts, and mashups of the best and worst the year had to offer on cinema screens. The video above is a mashup of all the trailers released in 2013.

Well, “all” might be relative because you probably can find some obscure indie that wasn’t included. Still, the movie trailer mashup from The Sleepy Skunk is impressive because it’s both brilliantly edited and well structured.

Just like in the previous year, this is no random amalgamation of footage or images, because the mashup is structured in parts, so as to include releases from all genres regardless of whether they were successful at the box office or well received by critics or not.

If you’re interested in seeing all the movies included in the mashup, see here. As for the music that serves as background to this impressive piece, we have “Brooklyn Go Hard (Instrumental)” by Jay-Z, “Save The World (Knife Party Remix)” by Swedish House Mafia and “The Opening,” composed by François Paul Aïche.

If you’re in for a game, play the video for a second time and try to see how many good guesses you have.
