Yahoo!7 is an Australian Internet portal owned by Yahoo and Seven network, having the same interface as the well known giant portal, offering similar functions bundled with a mobile phone page. Although the company is identified through its giant portal, Yahoo is more than that, representing one of the most powerful firms that provide search engine technologies, advertising platforms or the most popular instant messaging client. The company owns an impressive number of products but it seems like Yahoo is continuously developing new projects to attract more users.

It seems like the company prepares a new service that will allow registered members to download movies or TV programs on their computers using Yahoo's service. Even if the solution sounds really attracting, the content will be available only for paid subscribers so, if you want to download a certain movie, you must pay for it or even rent it for a specified period.

The new online solution will be available only for the Australian residents, so no other Yahoo user will be able to download movies using the service. The agreement was reported by IT News, the publication sustaining the movies can be downloaded on a computer, laptop or mobile device.

"Under the agreement, Yahoo!7 users can link directly to ReelTime.tv to access and download its range of major and independent studio movies and TV programs to a PC, laptop or portable device. Users of the service have the option to download to rent (DTR) and download to own (DTO) any content purchased. ReelTime Media managing director John Karantzis said the deal would allow Yahoo!7 users access more than 1500 hours of content from providers such as Sony, MGM, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, Dendy, Playboy TV and Hopscotch," IT News reported.
