This would be the first such handset released by the company

It seems that Motorola has a few more handsets hidden up its sleeve, and one of them would be a touchscreen device that is expected to come to the market featuring a high-resolution display, which would be somehow a first for the mobile phone maker.

As many of you might already know, the company hasn't added to its lineup any touchscreen phone that would include a display capable of delivering a resolution higher than QVGA. For what it's worth, not even the brand new MotoSurf A3100 that sports a 2.8-inch display rises over 240 x 320 pixels.

Seeing devices capable of larger resolutions seems to be a rather appealing thing, even if Motorola's lower-resolution displays aren't a bad thing either. If the latest news proves true, then we might soon see the company announce its own first high-resolution touchscreen phone, which is supposedly in the works at the moment.

Motorola is somehow in need of such a device, for it will see great addition among its users, and the recently spotted photos on the Web seem to point towards a soon to be unveiled such device. Furthermore, the handset is also expected to come to the market with a 5-megapixel photo snapper that supposedly features auto focus, Kodak lens and Xenon flash. At the same time the device should also sport TV-out.

For the time being, these are the only details on the new Motorola handset that could be found around the Web. Anyway, some even suggest that this would also be the company's first Android-powered handset, yet the back button on the front of the phone suggests otherwise. Hopefully, more details on the device will soon be available, and, who knows, maybe even an official word on it will also come to our ears.
