Since the MotoACTV fitness watch hasn’t managed to become the success the company hoped for, Motorola has decided that a software update is required in order to make it more enticing for its clients.

The new update arrives automatically to the MotoACTV once this is connected to a wireless network and brings an important number of improvements.

These include longer battery life, a battery status bar, the ability to lock the screen, enhanced auto-pause and auto-run and the ability to repeat a planned workout (even if previously started).

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the MotoACTV, this $299 (about 228 EUR) fitness watch/MP3 player hybrid device is powered by Android and includes, a 1.6-inch screen, embedded GPS, either 8GB or 16GB of storage space, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
