Motorola Mobility and Nextel have recently launched the i475 handset in Argentina. The mobile phone offers users advanced Push-to-Talk features along with text and voice connections.

Initially launched in the United States back in May, the Motorola i475 is still available for purchase at Boost Mobile. However, the device is much cheaper than Nextel’s deal on the i475.

Potential customers who need Push-to-Talk communication might want to take this one into consideration, if they’re willing to shell out no less than $599 (460 EUR) for the Motorola i475.

Given the fact that the i475 comes with basic phone features, the high price can only be explained by the service it offers, otherwise it definitely doesn’t worth the money.

Design-wise, Motorola i475 resembles Nokia’s Eseries smartphones. It comes with a standard portrait QWERTY keyboard and a big rounded D-pad that makes it easier to browse the menu.

The full QWERTY keyboard features big enough keys, which are generously spaced to offer users easier messaging and browsing.

Motorola i475 adds a new complete communication experience for our users who want the reliable and instantaneous connectivity of iDEN technology. This new device is ideal for users who need to communicate in a fast and simple way, simultaneously that count with optimized multimedia capabilities,” said Adolfo Rizzato, iDEN business manager, Motorola Mobility Argentina.

Just like Motorola suggests, Motorola i475 is aimed at customers who feel the need for intense messaging communication. In this regard, the phone provides advanced messaging features including ITAP word completion and IM (instant messaging).

Motorola i475 doesn’t stand out when it comes to hardware specs. The phone sports a sub-par VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, as well as Bluetooth support and FM Radio function.

There’s also a built-in GPS receiver, a dedicated PTT button, 2.5mm audio jack and a 2-inch display that supports 176 x 220 pixels resolution.
