The Wi-Fi only version of the Motorola XOOM is now available for pre-order at B&H for $599. The New York based store will retail limited quantities of the item and customers have to register in order to be notified when the XOOM is in stock.

B&H is one of the few retailers that have confirmed the Wi-Fi only Motorola XOOM, along with Staples and Sam's Club.

B&H's price is no surprise, as the tablet will likely be retailed for the same price at Staples starting March 27th. On the other hand, Sam's Club is expected to sell the product for only $539, which is considerably cheaper than the other two offers.

Motorola's Honeycomb based tablet features a large, widescreen 10.1-inch capacitive touch display with 16 million colors support and 800 x 1280 pixels resolution.

The tablet is powered by a high-performance 1GHz dual-core CPU and features 512MB of RAM, 32GB of internal flash storage, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

According to the manufacturer, the XOOM can operate for up to 10 hours on a single battery charge.

The rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash is suitable for capturing digital photos and HD videos. Also, the tablet's 2-megapixel front-facing camera can be used for Skype calls or for capturing images.

Thanks to the built-in dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, complemented by the Google Chrome browser with full support for Adobe Flash 10, users will be able to experience smooth Internet browsing.

Obviously, the tablet comes with the full array of Google services, including a 3D version of Google Maps and Google Talk with video chat.

As a reminder, the 3G version of the tablet is currently available for purchase from Verizon for $799.99 unlocked or $599.99 with a new two-year agreement.
