Mobile-phone maker Motorola is set to continue its assault on the Android market, as signs of a new handset have just emerged into the wild. The newly spotted device is dubbed Motorola Ruth or MB511 and is expected to arrive on the market with the company's Motoblur solution on board. We already knew that Motorola aimed big with Android for this year and for the following ones too, and the Motorola Ruth is yet another proof of this, it seems.

Among the details that are known at the moment on this device, we can count the fact that it is running under the Android 1.5 (Cupcake) flavor of Google's operating system, yet cellphonesignal says that it should actually hit the shelves with Android 2.0 or 2.1 on board. Motorola already announced that its existing Android-based phones were to receive the 2.1 update in the near future, so this should be the OS version on the upcoming device too.

The specs list of the new Motorola Ruth also shows that we're to expect a small display with it, one that will boast a 240 x 320-pixel (QVGA) resolution. However, a QWERTY keyboard will also be there, as well as Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11 b/g), and a built-in GPS receiver with aGPS. GSM and 3G (HSDPA/HSUPA) connectivity options will also be included in the handset, which is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200A 528MHz processor.

These seem to be the only details on Motorola Ruth MB511 that have emerged until now, yet more will emerge in the near future for sure. The handset won't be a match to DROID, at least this is what its specs suggest, yet it should turn out to be on par with Motorola CLIQ when it comes to the features and functionality it will offer. The reference to this phone can be seen on Motorola's user agent profile database, here. Keep an eye on this space for more updates on the matter.
