Motorola RAZR2's Ugly Clone Is Out in The Wild!

You can run, but you definitely cannot hide from the Chinese electronics cloner. Motorola has its own bitch slapping episode, when its still popular RAZR2 version got its own clone on the market. The clone is a portable media player called act-429 from a rather unknown company, namely the Act Corp.

Apparently, they liked the RAZR2 so much that they decided to "borough" its features (and some of its popularity too) and release an identical item. The clone model is said to support a bunch of stuff, such as compatibility for Avi videos, and some other file formats rather common on the market, such as MP3 and WMA for audio support. It also delivers lyric display, as well as JPEG compatibility for the photo slide show and playback.

The player was dubbed act-429, probably because of the brand's name. On the outside, the PMP reveals a wide 2 inch TFT screen display, an integrated speaker and up to six equalizer modes to improve the sound performances. So sharing and private listening sessions are both possible. Fortunately, there is no cell-phone functionality embedded in the system, therefore Motorola has no reasons to be sad...well, kind of.

But, as expected, there are also some traditional features packed on the device, such as the common FM radio functionality, or the popular e-Book reader compatibility. The makers thought about the gamers and added a gaming capability. There is no word about the internal memory capacity, but either way, there is a built-in SD and MMC cards slot for an extra boost. As a user, you'll also be able to select your image for use as a screen saver. How cool is that?

Well, given the poor and not-original design patterns, it's a good thing they packed the player with some decent to use specs. Whoa?! No, there is no price tag yet!
