One day after Sony and Turkcell introduced the Xperia S in Turkey, the carrier announced it had teamed up with Motorola to offer the RAZR Android smartphone to its customers.

Beginning today, Motorola RAZR is available in Turkcell Communication Centers at affordable pricing options. For the time being, only the black color version is out on the market, but the white-themed Motorola RAZR might arrive in Turkey as well.

The carrier confirms that Turkcell Gold and Gold Plus customers will be able to grab Motorola RAZR with installments starting at 59 TL (28 USD or 21 EUR) for 24 months on top of their tariffs.

Being one of the best-looking mobile phones on the market, Motorola RAZR was built to last. The smartphone sports KEVLAR fiber on the back and Corning Gorilla Glass coating to help protect the display against scratches and scrapes.

Motorola RAZR runs Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but the handset vendor already confirmed the smartphone is upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, there is no exact released date for the long-awaited update. Instead Motorola only stated that Ice Cream Sandwich for the RAZR might possibly arrive in Q2 2012.

Other highlights of the smartphone include a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

The phone is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. A secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls is included as well.

The RAZR drains energy from a 1780 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 9 hours of talk time.
