Motorola Quench XT5 has resurfaced, after it previously made its appearance on FCC's website at the beginning of July. This time we have partial specs and a diagram picture that seems to be coming from the user's manual.

Quench XT5 is a mid-level Android smartphone, which will probably won't see an U.S. launch in the near future, as it misses the necessary WCDMA 850 Mhz network compatibility.

The device is coming with a mid-sized 3.2-inch HVGA display (320×480 pixels resolution) with 262K colors support, 3.5mm jack audio port, FM radio, DivX video playback and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (Category 7/8).

It also sports a 5.0-megapixel camera with flash and is powered by Android 2.1 OS (Eclair). Motorola Quench XT5 has 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM and is GSM quadband (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and WCDMA tri-band (900 / 1900 / 2100).

The handset measures 56 x 114 x 13 mm and weighs 114g (including battery), which puts it in the average size category. Quench XT5 borrowed G1's trackball and seems to be missing a built-in GPS receiver.

Other information leaked points out that the handset features a 1270 mAh Li-Ion battery that should get users about 8.2 hours (6.4 hours for 3G) GSM talk time and 23.3 days (22.7 days for 3G) standby time.

By the look of it, Quench XT5 shouldn't be priced more than $300, otherwise its main competitors HTC Wildfire and Samsung Galaxy i5800 would become much better options.

Even with a lower price, there's no telling that Motorola's Quench XT5 would be able to compete with the above mentioned smartphones.

While these are just preliminary specs, which are subject to change, few things can improve the device's data sheet.

There's no word about its official launch date, not the pricing, but we should expect it to come out next month.
