Motorola and Warner Music Group announced a strategic partnership to create new music-based products for mobile phones. The partnership will enable Motorola to offer consumers exclusive content, including premium products such as pre-loaded and over-the-air delivered full-length songs, ringtones, ringback tones, mobile music videos, wallpapers and more. The agreement lays the foundation for an ongoing collaboration to match Motorola's global handset marketing initiatives with Warner Music Group's artist promotions.

"Establishing a global partnership with Warner Music Group opens the door for exciting entertainment opportunities for Motorola consumers," said Scott Durchslag, corporate vice-president of Product and Xperience Invention, Motorola Mobile Devices. "Exclusive access to content from Warner's world-renowned roster of artists enables our mobile phone consumers to further enrich and personalize their mobile multimedia experiences. We think this venture has potential to serve as a successful template for building relationships with other music and entertainment entities around the world."

"Through our direct relationships with wireless carriers, Warner Music Group already reaches more than 1.4 billion consumers. This partnership represents the next phase of our mobile strategy as we focus on collaborating with manufacturers such as Motorola to complement and enhance our carrier distribution footprint by creating first-rate music experiences on the handset through improved music-driven user interfaces, new music-based products and innovative artist promotions," said Alex Zubillaga, executive vice president, Digital Strategy and Business Development, WMG.

One of the first mobile products to be offered as part of this agreement is the MOTO Experience Pack. The MOTO Experience Pack is a single file downloaded onto the mobile device that contains several-music based products that create a feature-rich multimedia artist experience on the handset. MOTO Experience Packs will be available in the second half of 2007.
