Motorola makes its usual annual special edition release by providing a not-yet-available, state-of-the-art mobile phone to the Academy Award nominated for Best Director, Best Actor/Actress and Best Supporting Actor/Actress.

With the Oscars knocking at the door, Motorola has just announced an exclusive special edition of the Motorola PEBL Mobile Phone. The 78th Annual Academy Award nominees will receive this special-edition PEBL, and they will be the only consumers to have this edition of the just-available phone.

The phone features a sophisticated technology under an innovative design, and will be available packed in a classic movie theatre ticket and personalized with the category and name of the movie. In addition, the box includes the Motorola's new H700 Bluetooth headset as well as three months service from the exclusive provider of PEBL - T-Mobile.

The main features of the PEBL handset are a 262k color TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, VGA (640x480) camera with video capture capabilities, 5 MB internal memory, SCREEN3 technology, Push-to-Talk support, Built-in speakerphone, Voice commands for recording and dialing, and downloadable games.
