Good news for Motorola fans in the United States who were anxiously waiting for the Moto G LTE to go cheaper so that they could get it, as the smartphone will soon be available for a lot less than Motorola sells it now.

But there’s a catch, as you will probably get it with some bloatware installed on it. The Moto G LTE has been recently confirmed to arrive at AT&T and the carrier announced it would sell the smartphone for only $180 (€140) outright.

The Moto G LTE will be available beginning October 10 and customers will also be able to purchase it for $80 (€65) with a new one-year agreement, or for $7.50 (€6) a month with Next18 and $9 (€7.15) a month with Next12.

Keep in mind though that this version of Moto G LTE will probably be locked, but customers who purchase it will be able to use it without having to unlock it on MVNOs that take advantage of AT&T’s network, including Cricket, H2O and Straight Talk.

Obviously, we recommend our readers to ask AT&T’s reps when they walk into a store, if the Moto G LTE works with the carrier’s MVNOs in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

It’s also worth mentioning that you’ll be getting the first-generation Motorola Moto G if you decide to go for AT&T’s smartphone, not the new version that’s been announced recently.

Unlike the previous version, the Moto G LTE includes microSD card slot

The 4G LTE version of Moto G that will be available via AT&T beginning this weekend, ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box. It will probably be packed with some AT&T bloatware as well, but hopefully, owners will be able to remove it to some degree.

The smartphone sports a 4.5-inch scratch-resistant capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. The Moto G LTE is equipped with a decent 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Unlike the previous version that lacks LTE support and microSD card slot for memory expansion, this version offers both. Aside from that, the Moto G LTE packs 8GB of internal memory and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.

On the back, the smartphone features a 1.3-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Last but not least, the Moto G LTE is powered by a 2070 mAh non-removable battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
