Motorola and Flipkart have just confirmed that they will officially introduce the Moto G smartphone in India on February 5. There have been lots of rumors indicating that the device will go official in India this week, but we had no confirmation until today.

The folks over at fonearena have just revealed an invitation they have received for a press event held by Motorola and Flipkart. There’s no doubt that Motorola Moto G will be launched during this press event confirmed for February 5.

However, we’re still not sure when exactly the smartphone will go on sale in India and for what price. There’s a high chance the Moto G will be available for purchase on the same day it gets launched in India, but no info on price tag has leaked yet.

Motorola Moto G is available in lots of countries for prices ranging between $190 (€140) and $250 (€185) outright, so we expect the Indian version to be priced within the same range.

Customers who purchase the Motorola Moto G via Flipkart will also be able to take advantage of several special offers such as vouchers for eBooks and clothing, as well as discounts on back covers. The retailer has already revealed three launch day offers for the Moto G, but more have yet to be unveiled.

The Indian version of Moto G will feature dual-SIM support and will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. However, Motorola has confirmed that an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade will be available soon after release.

Motorola Moto G comes packed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Keep in mind that the smartphone features either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, which can’t be further expanded as the Moto G lacks microSD card slot.
