Shortly after Flipkart teased the upcoming Moto E, a picture of the alleged smartphone lying next to the Moto G surfaced online. However, aside from the fact that the Indian retailer confirmed the smarpthone will be available in India exclusively via its official retail channels, no other info was available regarding the specs.

While Motorola and Flipkart announced the smartphone will be launched on May 13, the price of the Moto E has yet to be unveiled, though rumor has it that the device will only cost Rs 8,499 – 8,999 outright.

Today, an official press render of the Motorola Moto E leaked in Brazil, along with some of the most important specs that an Android fan would be interested in.

We knew the smartphone would sport a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that will support qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution, but that wasn't confirmed until today.

Brazilian retailer Fastshop has the Moto E listed, along with some of the features it offers, so those interested in purchasing this affordable smartphone may want to read on further.

Aside from the fact that it comes with a 4.3-inch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass coating, the Moto E also comes with Motorola Shells, which means users will be able to change the back covers as they see fit.

It's unclear if this is a local offer or this is how the smartphone is sold in all countries, but apparently the Moto E comes with 3 color covers (Black, Turquoise and Lemon) included in the sales package.

Obviously, it features dual-SIM capability (with Smart Call) and ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, but Motorola will guarantee the smartphone will get further updates as they are released by Google.

On the inside, Motorola Moto is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (Qualcomm or MediaTek) 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Luckily, used will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via the microSD card slot that comes embedded into the phone.

As expected, the phone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features  video recording (480p), but there's no mention of secondary camera and there's no LED flash either.

Connectivity-wise, the smartphone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The phone measures 124 x 64.8 x 8mm and weighs 140 grams (battery included).

Speaking of which, Motorola Moto E is powered by a decent 1980 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 24 hours of mixed use.

Also, as you can see from the press render, Motorola Moto E packs dual speakers in the front. Keep in mind that these specs are available for the Motorola XT1025, but in India Flipkart may launch a slightly different version. Stay tuned for more.
