Motorola announced the launch of its Good Mobile Messaging software in India. The latest version, Good 5, will be made available through the Motorola PartnerSelect channel program, starting early April 2008.

Good Mobile Messaging is a secure and reliable way to keep everyone in an enterprise wirelessly connected to their email, calendar, contacts, and so on. Good 5 was designed for ease-of-use and offers features such as RSS news feeds, customized email alerts and filters, complete calendaring including free/busy checking and an automated conference room finder, as well as other features meant to improve productivity. For IT administrators, the new release expands Good's handheld security and management capabilities to include wireless control of handheld features such as cameras, Bluetooth ports and storage cards, as well as application and device lockdown, and advanced password and encryption management. Furthermore, Good 5 enables access from the handheld to intranets behind a firewall and Web-based applications. The software supports both Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange messaging servers and can be deployed over GSM, CDMA and WiFi networks.

"We are now poised to present the latest scalable technology offering the widest choice of deployment options for the enterprise customer spanning the shop floor to the corner office," said Anirudh Gupta, Country Manager for Motorola Good Technology Group. Good's products free mobile workers from their desktop and offer anywhere, anytime enterprise grade communication tools, thereby significantly impacting organizational productivity."

Good is also supported on a variety of Palm, HTC and Samsung smartphones.
