One of the most interesting mobile phone concepts that we recently came across is the new Motorola KRE8, a device that has been developed specifically for music enthusiasts. According to its maker, Jose Tomas DeLuna, the new KRE8 will be able to do what its name suggests: allow users to create their own music.

The most interesting feature of the Motorola KRE8 concept is that it can actually be split into two pieces, each of them coming with a built-in accelerometer and able to detect the gestures one makes, thus allowing users to create their music. In addition, the device also features three pre-loaded modes: Instrument Mode, Record Mode and Mix Mode.

The Motorola KRE8 also comes with a touchscreen display, as well as with 3G, GPS and a wide range of music features. Users are able to activate the included modes via the handset's touchscreen, which also provides control over them. The accelerometers allow for each part of the device to be used to simulate different instruments.

Besides the fact that it allows users to create their own music, the Motorola KRE8 also features wireless capabilities so that the content could be shared with others on a wireless network. Users can send MIDI files to other devices or broadcast them so that others would be able to enjoy them as well. In addition, the handset also offers the option of GPS-tagging the created files.

It is uncertain whether the concept will actually become a reality in the near future, yet we should agree that it doesn't sound like a bad idea, although it is a rather weird one. But we have seen other strange concepts in the past as well, so this one wouldn't be a singular case. In addition, the device doesn't look too bad either, so it might attract a wide range of users after all.
