Mobile-phone maker Motorola announced not too long ago the upcoming launch of a new handset that would run under Google's Android operating system, the Motorola Devour, expected to soon become available for purchase via Verizon Wireless. No specific launch date for the new device was unveiled at that time, but the latest rumors around the Internet suggest that we might see the Motorola Devour put on sale via all channels as soon as March 15 is here.

Moreover, the mobile phone is also expected to land at indirect channels via authorized distributors on February 25, though the full launch of the handset will only be made in mid-March, at least this is what the leaked documents BGR brought to light recently suggest. Moreover, the news site also offers some details on the possible price tag the Devour might sport when delivered to the market, and that is said to be of $99 on a contract.

Nothing is confirmed for the time being, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for this one to pan out, especially since this is the first MotoBlur-enabled device that becomes available for purchase via Verizon. Not to mention that Devour will also bring forth a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, as well as a 3.0-megapixel camera with video recording, and integration with Google, Exchange, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter.

Moreover, users will also enjoy a nice range of connectivity options with the handset, including Bluetooth v2.0+EDR and WiFi (802.11 b/g), as well as aGPS, a Qualcomm MSM7627 processor inside, a microSD memory card slot with support for 16Gb of additional storage space (8GB card included), a speakerphone, Push Email support, Google Calendar & Corporate Calendar, and others more, all inside a device that measures 2.4 x 4.55 x .61 inches and weighs in at 6.35oz. Those who would like to learn more details on the leaked documents on Devour should head over to BGR for them.
