DROID Eris also in the BOGO promotion

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has just released a new ad clip for the Motorola DROID, its first mobile phone to come with Google's Android 2.0 operating system on board. Most of you might have already encountered the clips Verizon aired for this device, and you might be already familiar with the robotic voice and approach of the ads, so the new one won't come as a surprise for any of you.

However, there is also a funny part in that, as always. The new ad says it plain and simple: “Motorola DROID is not a princess, it's a robot.” It is indeed capable of delivering a great deal of capabilities to users, compared to other devices, and it seems that Verizon wants to point out that one should not mind the look of the DROID. The handset's design has seen some critics already, but that did not made it less appealing than it already is, that's for sure.

To make things even more attractive, Big Red also included the new Motorola DROID into its BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) promotion. The handset can be seen on the carrier's website available for purchase with the “Buy the DROID by Motorola and Get a select phone FREE!” tag right next to it, so there shouldn't be a sign of doubt in this. However, it seems that the available free phones for the purchase of a DROID are only the LG Glance and LG VX5500. You can check on it here.

At the same time, we should note that the HTC DROID Eris Android device has been also included in the BOGO promotion from Verizon. As many of you might already know, the purchase of a second device with the BOGO promotion will require for a two-year contract to be activated for each of the handsets. Take a look at the video below to see the DROID not being a princess, and head over to Verizon's website to learn more info on the handsets included in its BOGO program.
