The wild rumors running rampant over the web have finally been put down

Almost as soon as the first pictures of the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch came out, people noticed that there was no USB port in sight, which begged the question of how the thing would recharge.

The theory of wireless charging was put forth really fast, but so was the concept of energy being recovered through bodily motions.

A Motorola spokesperson has finally cut to the chase though: the Moto 360 smartwatch will, indeed, use wireless charging. Magnetic induction to be specific. Motorola Program Manager Philp Worth is the one to whom the information release is attributed.

That puts the number of unique, uncanny and deal-making assets to two. The other is the round OLED display.

Well, presumably, the Qualcomm Toq is the only other smartwatch with wireless charging out there. The round screen of Moto 360 is definitely one-of-a-kind right now though.

As you may or may not know, making a screen round isn't as easy as it sounds, especially for the already expensive OLED technology.

But Motorola has pulled it off, and has managed to keep the price at a fairly reasonable $365 Australian Dollars / $337 USD / €247.

At least that's what exchange rates say. According to a different report, the US / EU price of the Moto 360 smartwatch will be of €249 / $249, with sales set to commence in July.
