14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone maker Motorola is supposedly on its way to bring to the market a successor for its very first Android-based device, and some new photos with this handset made it to the Internet recently.
We're referring here to the Motorola CLIQ 2, which was rumored before to be on its way to make an appearance on T-Mobile USA's airwaves in the not too far future.
Apparently, those who were indeed waiting for the sequel to hit T-Mobile's network won't have to wait too much before the move is made.
Some of the latest reports around the Internet suggested that the device would be set for launch on January 19th, the same day when Magenta plans on adding another Android device to its offering, the Dell Streak 7.
Apparently, the rumored release date was somehow confirmed by the guys over at Cell Phone Signal (via Android Police), who were delivered a series of new photos with the phone, along with the info on said launch day.
The upcoming Motorola CLIQ 2 won't be a high-end device, that's for sure, but it would build on the success the previous device had at T-Mobile.
The possible specs of this phone would include the obvious QWERTY keyboard, along with the MOTOBLUR solution that can be seen clearly on the device.
At the same time, the mobile phone should bring to T-Mobile's network a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, along with Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, and aGPS features.
The Android device is also expected to arrive on shelves with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n capabilities, though this was not confirmed as of yet. Info on the other hardware specs of this handset, as well as on the Android flavor it would be running under is lacking as well.
Most likely, we should be able to learn all of the necessary details on this device next week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, so keep an eye on this space for additional info on the matter.
