14 DAY TRIAL // A new, powerful Android-based mobile phone is on its way to the market in the UK, the Motorola ATRIX, which should arrive on shelves at wireless carrier Orange as soon as tomorrow.
The new handset was unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and has been already released in the United States on the airwaves of AT&T.
The phone comes with a powerful 1GHz dual-core application processor from Nvidia, the popular Tegra 2 chip, which is paired with 1GB of RAM, offering increased performance capabilities to all users.
Moreover, it arrives at Orange UK as the very first smartphone in the world to include an in-built biometric fingerprint reader, which should result in increased personal security.
“The award winning Motorola ATRIX is tipped to be one of the biggest releases in 2011 and is sure to impress the most stylish of aspiring secret agents,” Orange notes.
“The fingerprint reader allows you to unlock the phone with the swipe of a finger ensuring the mobile phone remains for your eyes only.”
In addition to these features, the new device also comes with the ability to open web pages twice as fast as other smartphones, and offers HDTV connectivity so that users can view videos stored on it on the larger screens of these devices.
Not to mention that the new device comes with 3G and WiFi connectivity options, GPS receiver, microSD memory card slot to expand the available internal memory, and more.

The Motorola ATRIX hits Orange UK for free on the £35 per month contract for 24 months (with 600 minutes, 750 MB data allowance, unlimited texts, 50 MMS and unlimited WiFi per month).
