Mobile phone carrier AT&T has announced the upcoming pre-sale availability of Motorola ATRIX 4G on February 13th, with a price tag of $199.99 attached to it, upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement. The handset would be put on shelves on March 6th. The Motorola ATRIX 4G is touted as the most powerful smartphone on the market, courtesy of its dual-core application processor from Nvidia, clocked in at 1GHz and complemented by 1GB of RAM.

“An industry first, the Motorola ATRIX 4G is the leading edge of more than 20 advanced, 4G devices AT&T plans to deliver in 2011,” the carrier notes.

“AT&T has completed the deployment of HSPA+ to virtually 100 percent of its mobile broadband network, which enables 4G speeds when combined with enhanced backhaul.”

ATRIX 4G lands on shelves with the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on board, with a qHD display, support for Adobe Flash Player, and with 4G speed capability.

The new mobile phone is set to land on shelves with AT&T Mobile Hotspot capabilities packed inside, offering users the possibility to connect additional WiFi-enabled devices to the carrier's network.

The handset will be accompanied by a series of breakthrough accessories, such as the super-thin Motorola Laptop Dock, or the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock for a revolutionary browsing, application and media experience.

According to the carrier, the ATRIX 4G and the Motorola Laptop Dock would come bundled in a package priced at $499.99 after a two-year contract and $100 mail-in-rebate. The deal requires a Data Pro smartphone data plan and tethering add on. The Motorola Laptop Dock is sold separately for $499.99, the carrier notes.

An Entertainment Access Kit for ATRIX, including the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock, a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and a remote control, would be made available for $189.99.

”Motorola ATRIX 4G stole the show at the Consumer Electronics Show in January and we’re delivering ATRIX 4G and its truly innovative line of accessories for our customers very soon,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

“Any smartphone customer looking for the most powerful and innovative solution on the market has to consider the ATRIX 4G.”
