14 DAY TRIAL // The ATRIX 2 was launched on the market back in October and is now available for purchase in North America and Asia. Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, Motorola decided to skip Europe.
Last month, the smartphone was released in Thailand, bundled with 10 free EA games. Today, Motorola has just announced the immediate availability of the ATRIX 2 in the UAE.
Customers will benefit from the same offer, so expect this one to come pre-loaded with free EA games, including Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed Shift, Dead Space, EA SPORTS FIFA 10, The Game of Life, Monopoly, The Sims 3, Tetris, Worms and Bejeweled 2.
In addition, the device provides quick access to more than 450,000 apps via Google Play store. Motorola ATRIX 2 is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, but the phone is scheduled for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Q2/Q3 2012.
Hardware-wise, the ATRIX 2 is not among the most powerful Android phones available on the market, but it does come equipped with a dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz and 1 GB of RAM.
The ATRIX 2 packs 8 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included).
There’s also a stunning 4.3 inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display that offers advanced 3D graphics and smooth, crystal-clear game play. Moreover, the screen features Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection against scratches and scrapes.
For the time being, there are no details on the ATRIX 2 pricing options, but Motorola has confirmed that the smartphone is now available from selected major retailers in the country.
