For the first time in a long while, we are beginning to get reports about the state of health of legendary rocker from Motorhead, Lemmy. The band had to cancel several shows last year on its European festival tour when Lemmy suffered a hematoma and was later reported to have additional heart problems.

A hematoma is a blood clot outside of a blood vessel, and it was serious enough to keep the singer off the stage singe August 2013. Now, Kaaos TV has conducted an interview with Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee and the band member has addressed the issue of Lemmy's health.

The interview took place in Helsinki, Finland, last week, and during the chat, the drummer admitted that Lemmy was doing “much, much better. It's much, much better. He's been good for awhile. He's working hard on his health. We just did three weeks in the U.S. He's up and about. It's more to get going again. It's for the whole band. We've never been off eight months.”

Motorhead planned a return to the stage earlier this year, in February, but Lemmy's fragile health prevented the band from playing their scheduled gigs.

Now it seems that Lemmy's heart problems are beginning to ameliorate and his improvement will allow the rockers to uphold their previous plans to restart their postponed European tour in Italy this June.
