Motorola ZN5, of which we've heard several times since the beginning of 2008, was officially announced today, under the name of MotoZine ZN5. The handset is the first resulting from a collaboration between Motorola and Kodak and it's said to combine the best technologies of the two famous companies in order to offer an ultimate "mobile imaging experience."

The ZN5 is the first mobile phone that comes with Kodak Imaging Technology, Kodak Perfect Touch and Motorola's ModeShift Technology, features that should make it a powerful but at the same time easy-to-use camera phone.

John Blake, vice president of Eastman Kodak Company, stated, "Kodak Imaging Technology combines Kodak's unparalleled experience in imaging science with easy connectivity to the company's vast portfolio of products and services. We have redefined the quality, convenience and connectivity of mobile imaging devices. We have worked closely with Motorola to create a device that not only delivers Kodak-quality pictures, but allows consumers to explore a wide range of options for sharing their photos with friends and family around the world."

Besides the Kodak lens, ZN5's camera has 5 Megapixels, Xenon flash, auto focus, multi-shots, video recording and a lens cover. Plus, the pre-installed Kodak EasyShare Software will make organizing, editing and sharing photos easy and fun things to do, while the quick access to the Kodak Gallery website will allow users to instantly upload their photos on the Web.

"Today's creative consumers not only want to be the photographer, but also the retoucher, the exhibitor and the critic. The MOTOZINE ZN5 lets them be all the things they want to be," says Jeremy Dale, corporate vice president, mobile devices marketing, Motorola.

The rest of the features packed in MotoZine ZN5 include a 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels, Wi-Fi, full HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging, Bluetooth, CrystalTalk technology for a clear sound experience regardless of the environment, Music and Video players, a 3.5mm audio jack, TV out, USB and expandable memory (up to 4GB). Unfortunately, the phone only comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), GPRS and EDGE, hence users won't be able to enjoy the benefits of 3G.

The official presentation of MotoZine ZN5 took place in Beijing, thus the handset will first be available across China, starting July, for a price that was not announced yet. After that, Motorola says that it will make the phone available in lots of countries around the globe.
