Mobile phone maker Motorola is gearing up for the launch of a new promotion for its Moto X smartphone, with the device seeing a $100 (€73) price cut on Monday.

In fact, the deal will be available as part of Motorola’s Valentine’s Day sale, which will have the smartphone $70 (€51) cheaper starting January 27. The deal is available only for smartphones purchased without a contract, the company has announced.

The best part of the promotion, however, will be available for users on Monday, when the smartphone will be available for $100 less for one hour, between 3pm to 4pm ET.

This means that users will be able to grab the 16GB version of Moto X for only $299 (€218) on that day, while the 32GB variant of the device will be available at only $349 (€255).

“On Monday January 27th, we’re kicking off our Valentine’s Day sale with an extra sweet deal: $100 off any Moto X without a contract from 3pm-4pm ET,” Motorola announced, a recent article on droid-life reads.

“This deal is only available for one hour, while supplies last. If you miss out, don’t worry. You can get $70 off any Moto X without a contract through Valentine’s Day.”

Moto X was made available for purchase back in August, and has seen a great deal of promotions ever since, most of them available through the MotoMaker portal.

One of the latest of them is available for those users who have friends working at Motorola, and which enables them to grab the device for $50 less than the normal price, without a contract. More similar deals will certainly be available for the device, as Motorola tries to boost sales.

Users interested in grabbing the smartphone should check on Motorola’s website starting with Monday, so as to be able to take advantage of the aforementioned price cut.
