One of the Android devices that mobile phone users in India will be able to purchase in the not too distant future is the Moto G, which has already been confirmed for the local market.

The one thing that remains to be seen is when exactly the phone will land, though it appears that users won’t have to wait too long for it.

Online retailer Flipkart has already added the device to its website, with a “coming soon” tag attached, though without a specific price or release date included.

Previously, Motorola confirmed plans to announce some more info on Moto G’s release in this country on February 5, and it appears that the handset will actually become available through said retailer on that day.

While this is only speculation from our side on this, additional details on the matter will be unveiled soon, and the mystery will be solved then.

Moto G is the cheapest handset that Motorola launched last year with the Android platform loaded on top, though it still has to offer some appealing hardware specs and capabilities.

The smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, while being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

Moreover, it sports 1GB of Ram inside, 8GB / 16GB of internal memory, HSDPA, 21 Mbps / HSUPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the like.

Moto G features a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash and HD video recording, along with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls. The handset runs under Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though Motorola has already started upgrading it to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

“Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do taking and sharing photos, watching videos, checking scores, getting directions, listening to music, you name it,” Flipkat notes on its website.

“Moto G also gives you choices. Different backs you can switch out to reflect your unique style, and access to more than one million apps on Google Play to create your own mobile experience. Every detail is just how you'd like it.”
