This is not the first time the legendary rockers are talking about hanging up their instruments and going away into the great good night. Back in August of last year, they hinted as a possible reunion for one final performance, after which they would say their goodbyes.

According to the LA Times, the four members of the rock band have all signed an agreement that dissolves the group after this current tour they are about to embark upon.

During a press conference that took place yesterday at the Hollywood hotel, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee announced they would disband Motley Crue after their tour.

“We just want to go out on top. Leave a legacy behind,” Vince Neil told the press. “We won't be doing any more concerts after this. This is the final tour.”

Mick Mark was quick to add that “Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement,” assuring fans that they are getting along as well as always.

Tommy Lee explained their decision, “We always had a vision of going out with a big [EXPLETIVE] bang and not playing county fairs and clubs with one or two original band members. Our job here is done.”

This time it looks final, as Sixx confirmed that all the members of the band were “going to stick to [their] word,” though he did let some speculation fly around at the idea that there could be some new material in the works before hitting the concert trail. Fans will “have to wait and see” he said.

The rock Band Motley Crue was formed in 1981 by its two founding members, Sixx and Lee and went on to sell more than 80 million albums worldwide during the span of their career.
