Motion is known for being the maker of many slates, especially rugged and semi-rugged models that can withstand hazardous working conditions. Such devices have been known to increase productivity and improve the overall working experience, especially thanks to the special care that Motion places in optimizing its devices for better working efficiency. Now, the company has come forth and unleashed its newest tablet duo, which makes a point of enabling a new level of performance.

The newcomers are known as the F5v and C5v and run on the Intel Core i7 or Core i5 vPro central processing unit. They are mostly intended for mobile workforces across all industries and, thus, come with increased security, better multitasking and enhanced remote management capabilities. To this end, the two slates feature 160GB of HDD space, up to 4GB of RAM and an extra-durable Corning Gorilla glass, which offers a four times higher breakage resistance. Not only that, but an anti-smear coating brings greater visibility.

“From its inception, Motion has delivered tablet PC solutions that address the needs of a highly mobile workforce,” Mike Stinson, vice president of marketing, Motion Computing, said. “Today we extend that leadership with the introduction of the industry’s most advanced purpose-built slate tablet PCs that offer mobility, power and durability.”

It should be noted that the F5v and C5v each have their own integrated support for Gobi2000 mobile broadband, with multi-mode 3G mobile Internet access on HSPA or CDMA2000 EV-DO networks.

“Motion tablets with the 2010 Intel Core vPro processors adapt to the needs of mobile workforces with smart security, cost-saving manageability, and intelligent performance,” Brian Tucker, director of marketing, Business Client Platform Division at Intel, said. “Now enterprises can take advantage of the powerful applications and rich user experiences available with today’s technology.”

The motion C5v and F5v are already selling, at prices of $2,299 and $2,548, respectively.
