Mortal Kombat X was initially launched on iOS platform a few days ahead of its PC and console release. Although developers promised they would bring the game on Android platform very soon, it took NetherRealm more than a month to launch Mortal Kombat X in Google Play Store.

Unfortunately, the game has been affected by lots of issues since its release, on both iOS and Android platforms, but mostly on the latter.

Disconnections, lags and other issues have been reported by both iOS and Android players. Even though developers already released a few updates, there are still some problems that need to be addressed.

In the latest update for Mortal Kombat X for Android, developers bring some new content to players, but also lots of bug fixes.

First of all, Mortal Kombat X players will now be able to play as Kung Lao. NetherRealm has added two variations of the Klassic Warrior Kung Lao, so make sure you collect Hat Trick Kung Lao and Buzz Saw Kung Lao if you want to make use of this new character.

The rest of the update focuses on bug fixes. According to the official changelog, the update should restore Purchases feature added for Starter Packs. In addition, the update should resolve issues preventing tutorial completion on some devices.

Furthermore, developers confirmed they have fixed some bugs related to network and added some optimization. Last but not least, the latest version of Mortal Kombat X should be more stable now and have less (or none at all) cellular connectivity issue.

iOS players can now unlock the Thunder God Raiden

Moving on to the iOS version, NetherRealm has added the Challenge Mode, where players can fight and earn Thunder God Raiden.

Kung Lao has been included in the update as well, along with some bug fixes and network optimization.

You can now download Mortal Kombat X for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with devices powered by Android 4.0 and up, which pack 1GB of RAM.

For iOS users, the game can be downloaded via App Store for free. It should work on all devices with 1GB RAM that run iOS 6.0 or later.
