The new Mortal Kombat game is just a few months away and developer NetherRealm has just released a brand new trailer that shows some of the characters that will make it into the game.

As many of you probably know, the Mortal Kombat series has a pretty rich roster of fighters and a complicated story, which allows the developer to re-introduce some characters that we previously thought to be dead.

In the latest video, we get to see Kung Lao, the Shaolin fighter who was leaked a few weeks ago in a printed magazine. Kitana has been slightly redesigned now and looks much better than it did in any of the previous versions of the game.

Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat’s creative director, teased the release of the new trailer and confirmed that we would see Kung Lao in action, along with an unannounced character.

We get a first look at Kitana, the Edenian Princess

Judging from what we’ve seen, the only character that we get a first look at might be Kitana, but other than that there doesn’t seem to be any new fighters that we haven’t been made aware of appearing in this trailer. If you catch anything else, please let us know in the comments section.

Anyway, it looks like the main problem with Mortal Kombat X, which seems to make a lot of fans unhappy, would be the fact that developer NetherRealm has decided to offer Goro as a playable character to those who pre-order the game.

You usually don’t do that to a fighting game such as Mortal Kombat X, as it ruins the whole experience for many hardcore players. Well, the video confirms once again that Goro is a pre-order bonus and anyone wanting to play as him will get it for free if they pre-purchase the game.

Mortal Kombat X has been confirmed for release on April 14, 2015, on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
