After confirming yesterday, on Friday the 13th, that the start of the actual Friday the 13th movies, Jason Vorhees, is going to appear as DLC for Mortal Kombat X, developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. have shared some details about the special Kombat Pack add-on that includes Jason and a few other goodies.

Mortal Kombat X has been eagerly awaited for quite some time, and in recent months developer NetherRealm has shared more and more details about the different characters included in the base roster of the fighting game, not to mention some that will appear as downloadable content at launch, through the Kombat Pack.

The Kombat Pack includes many different goodies

After presenting horror movie legend Jason Vorhees yesterday, Warner Bros. confirms, through a statement, some more details about the major Kombat Pack DLC for Mortal Kombat X.

More specifically, besides Jason, there's another guest character set to be present in the add-on, alongside two "Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants."

Warner Bros and NetherRealm specifically emphasize that the characters are still in development, so fans shouldn't feel like they're being charged for fighters that could have easily been added to the base game when it debuts in April.

Besides the different characters, those who buy the Kombat Pack, either as part of the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition or by purchasing it separately for 30 USD/EUR, will also get early access to all future downloadable content for Mortal Kombat X early, so it also functions as a sort of season pass for those future add-ons.

What's more, those who buy the DLC will get a bonus add-on in the form of the Samurai pack, which has three new character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok, and Jingu Kitana, as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character.

As such, if you do want to get the full Mortal Kombat X experience when the game launches in April for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and in summer for PS3 or Xbox 360, the Kombat DLC is a great investment.
