Kitana gets showcased in new video

After confirming that a new stream that focuses on brutalities is taking place tomorrow, February 26, NetherRealm has now gone into detail about Kitana, one of the classic female fighters that will make a comeback in Mortal Kombat X.

In order to portray her in all her glory, a new video can be admired below. It shows one of the QA testers at NetherRealm presenting his history with the character and the three different variations that will be present in Mortal Kombat X.

Three different variations accommodate various styles

First up, there's the Royal Storm variation that focuses more on defensive play and controlling your opponent. The Square Wave can be performed in the air, your fans can cause tornados, and you can even reflect projectiles back to your rival.

The Assassin version is ideal for those who want to rush their opponents and trigger a wave of damage. Kitana gains a parry that triggers a series of backstabs, not to mention more damage for her fans. A new move, Assassin Rush, allows her to close the distance and attack acrobatically.

Last but not least, there's the Mournful version, in which Kitana honors Jade, her fallen friend, by wielding her glaive and her extendable staff. This allows for different offensive options and even comes with some of the classic Jade special attacks when using the staff.

Check out the three different variations above and in the gallery below, as well as in the video.
