"Classic characters such as Sub-Zero or Goro..." WHAT?

First of all, let's just remember when they promised us Mortal Kombat II for the PS3, via PlayStation Network: March. Didn't happen. I could die right then. But hold on, 'cause they're finally making it available. Old-school fighting game (my personal favorite of the lot), the second installment in the series from Midway, Mortal Kombat II, will be present on Playstation Network on April 12th.

Here's a piece cut out by Joystiq from the actual press release, but read closely. If you're a fan, you'll notice a very big mistake: "Get ready to re-live all of the classic arcade action that made Mortal Kombat II a beloved classic. Brought back and available for download exclusively on the PS3, re-experience the classic head-to-head fighting game featuring classic characters such as Sub-Zero or Goro. Players will fight their way through the Outworld and defeat Shang Tsung or battle hidden characters including Jade and Smoke!" Mr. whoever-wrote-this-press-release, Goro is not...I repeat, NOT present in MK II. If we're talking playable characters and bosses here, I can tell you right now that Sub-Zero is indeed present in MK II as a selectable/playable character, while there are several secret ones such as Jade, Smoke or Noob Saibot (you can only play against them as far as I know). Then there are the bosses, which count no more, no less than two: Kintaro (it's true that he kind of looks like Goro), who you fight after Shang Tsung (the sorcerer) and Shao Khan, who is the supreme leader and boss since Mortal Kombat II to the most recent titles in the series.

Excuse my temper but I just can't have anyone mixing up Goro with Kintaro. I can even describe the way each one of them looks or fights. Can't I? Some bugs and glitches that you can use against them? OK. Well, now that everyone knows what we're getting here, Mortal Kombat II hits PlayStation Network on April 12th, available to download and play on PS3. It's going to be the happiest day of my life. I hope it's optimized and stuff, 'cause the PC version isn't as good as the arcade version, but again, you must know that already if you're a fan.
