Due to a recently leaked picture of a new X58-based motherboard, Taiwanese manufacturer Micro Star International is expected to update its line of Core i7-supporting platforms with the addition of a new Micro-ATX model. Despite no specific details on the board's official release date and pricing, a considerable number of its specifications have already been made available on the Internet, thanks to the leaked image. On that note, it now appears that the MSI mATX board has just made itself noticed in a couple of new leaked photos.

The difference between the new model and the previously pictured one is the use of a new cooling solution, which could indicate that MSI is planning to release the board sooner rather than later. Aside from the different MSI-branded cooling solution, the upcoming mATX X58 board looks pretty much the same, except for the color theme on the integrated connectors, including the PCI slots and SATA ports.

As far as technical specifications go, the upcoming mATX board from MSI, which will likely go by the name of X58M, is designed to provide support for two PCI Express x16 graphics cards and triple-channel DDR3 memory. In addition, the board is also featured with seven SATA connectors, one IDE port, support for an additional 6 USB 2.0 ports and on-board power button. At the back of the board users can do with a pair of PS/2 ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio and an eSATA connector and FireWire port.

From what we can see in the pictures, the board is also designed with one PCI Express x4 and one PCI slot. As stated above, the details regarding the board's release date and pricing are still a mystery, but the Taiwanese motherboard maker could soon unveil the X58M officially.
